SP 500 posts best four-month run in nearly nine years; Apple jumps after hours

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 38.52 points, or 0.15%, to 26,592.91. The SP 500 gained 2.8 points, or 0.10%, to 2,945.83, and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 54.01 points, or 0.66%, to 8,095.39.
